Meet Ed
Growing up between the Bronx and New Jersey, Ed began his forty-plus-year career in wine while studying history at Lynchburg College, during which time he connected with a Virginia vineyard owner over a shared love of wine and poetry. Ed’s burgeoning passion for wine would take him to Manhattan’s Windows on the World Wine School, where he studied under premier wine educator Kevin Zraly. Post-graduation, Ed was hired as Cellarmaster at the Windows on the World Restaurant before opening—and serving as Wine Director—at the iconic Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center. After success at the Sea Grill, Ed was drawn to France for what was supposed to be a season of leisure, wine exploration, and reflection, but that—perhaps inevitably—turned into seventeen years working in every corner of the wine industry: from selling wine across Europe, to pruning vines, to working vineyards and cellars in Burgundy and Bordeaux.
