ACCORNERO 2022 Freisa 'La Bernardina' (Monferrato, Italy)

Fresia is little well-known grape that is native to Piedmont, in Northern Italy. It is related to the more well known Nebbiolo grape. Think of it as a rustic cousin of Nebbiolo. Known for its coarse tannins and slightly bitter edge, it has medium body and balanced refreshing acidity. With notes of red fruit and hints of cinnamon and spice, it is a unique offering from this corner of the world.
