BODEGAS ARAGONESAS 2021 Garnacha 'Coto de Hayas' (Campo de Borja, Spain)

100% Garnacha from vines planted over 100 years ago!  This may be one of the great stories to be told at Oly Wines…  this is 100-year-old Grenache produced at a ‘Cooperative’ winery.  The growers of these 100-year-old vines are offered a premium for their grapes so the old vines are not ripped out and replaced with high-producing young vines.  Rumor is that the Cooperatives do not make high-quality wine, but this bottling might show you different.  Kiss of French oak barrels for a few months frames this elegant, concentrated medium-bodied red that you will serve alongside your favorite foods.
