CASTELLO DI ARGIANO 2020 Brunello di Montalcino 'Sesti' (Tuscany, Italy)

This is 100% Sangiovese from 20+ year old vines. Brunello di Montalcino means Brunello from the village of Montalcino. Brunello is the type of wine made from a particular clone of Sangiovese grapes. It's home is the medieval hilltop town of Montalcino. Here, Sangoivese is both bold and delicate, with enough power to demand ageing. 

The vineyards on the Southern side of the slope that is Montalcino are home to some of the best Brunello - and that is where the vines for this wine come from. CASTELLO DE ARGIANO 'Sesti' is owned by father and daughter team Giuseppe and Elisa, and is operated practicing biodynamic and organic principles. 

The regal perfume is both sweet and savory, with ripe berry fruit accented by balmy herbs and earthy wafts of incense.
