CHATEAU CANTEMERLE 2020 Haut-Medoc (Bordeaux, France)

A Fifth Growth according to the 1855 Classification of the great wines of the Medoc.  CANTEMERLE, regardless of classification is one of the greatest price/quality 'Grand Cru' wines for sale in Bordeaux.  It trades on the Classified Bdx wine market but represents one of its greatest values!  

Château Cantemerle’s 2020 Haut-Médoc continues the legacy of this Fifth Growth estate on deep gravel soils. The blend—mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot—is vinified traditionally and aged in 40% new oak for balance and depth.

The current release of this wine is the 2022 so this wine has bottle age & will show its style after a short decantation.

This structured, mid-to-full-bodied wine shows classic Left Bank character with refined tannins and fresh aromatics. Positioned just outside Margaux, it offers early approachability and cellar potential alike.
