CHATEAU CAP ST. GEORGE 2016 St. George St. Emilion (Bordeaux, FR)

Another 2016 Bordeaux! Another 2016 Bordeaux! We are positively greedy for great Bordeaux from the 2016 vintage, which put out great wines. And 2016 vintage Bordeaux is drying up! 

This is a Merlot driven blend with Cabernet Franc. From St. Emillion, which is located on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, where Merlot grows beautifully. The wine is rich and supple. Notes of cherry, plums and slightly smoky blueberries & tobacco. Try this this roasted red meats, duck confit or pork with rosemary. 

This wine is the wine produced by my friend, Jean-Philippe Janouiex.  His family are generations of winemaking.  J-P now owns several properties and manages everything himself.  He is a very capable winemaker & turning heads with his Bdx Sup: Croix Mouton, Pomerols & St. Emilion wines of great heritage.  More Janouiex wines coming!
