CHATEAU LA FLEUR DE GAY 2020 Pomerol (Bordeaux, France)

One of my favorite properties to visit on weekends with wine industry friends...  This is a tiny estate in Pomerol coming from the CROIX DE GAY winery.  Château La Croix de Gay is the older, larger estate, while Château La Fleur de Gay is a separate, high-end cuvée created from a small portion of its oldest vines.  We only have a few bottles of this 2020 nectar: 100% Merlot from the plain of Pomerol leading to St. Emilion.

Owned by the Raynaud-Lebreton family and with origins dating back to 1477, the vineyard of Château La Fleur de Gay extends over 2 hectares of vines and benefits from a very large typical Pomerol terroir. The vines are located on 3 plots of the high terrace of the appellation.
