This is one of the greats. Chateau Malartic holds Grand Cru Classé status in Bordeaux, meaning that it is one of the classic, esteemed great wines of Bordeaux. It is one of the 8 greatest wines from the Pessac-Léognan region (Graves). Graves is the area just a stones throw to the South of the town of Bordeaux.
The reason we have this wine for you is because the 2016 vintage is still available - 2016 is what Ed considers to be the greatest of great Bordeaux vintages, and Oly Wines will continue to find 2016 Bordeaux like this one to show you.
This wine a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It has been aged in 80% new oak barrels, and 20% one year old oak barrels.
