COMOLOCO 2023 Monastrell (Jumilla, Spain)

Monastrell, the red grape variety is Spanish for Mourvèdre.  And the JUAN GIL brothers are most at home in Jumilla working with the native Monastrell.  The brothers (Juan & Gil) hail from Jumilla, and have made Monastrell their base wine.  JUAN GIL produces several wines from Monastrell.  This is their latest wine: Full-bodied, 100% organic Monastrell fermented in stainless steel and showing loads of savory red fruit.  The wine opens with lots of deep, black fruit before giving way to a secondary layer of dried herbs and subtle oak spice develops with air.

COMOLOCO, loosely translates to 'like a crazy man'...
