DOMAINE DE THULON 2023 Gamay 'Beaujolais Villages' (Burgundy, France)

Here we have some classic old vine Beaujolais-Villages! Under this classification, the grapes may be from anywhere within the Villages. The vineyard situation is both typical and perfect; on a granite hillside with south-west exposure. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo carbonic maceration. A light pressing of fruit occurs before carbonic to bring out the color and a greater concentration of aromas. This Beaujolais is packed with delicious aromas of cherry and strawberry that explode from the glass. Fresh and fruity, with just a slight hint of Allspice, this is a well-structured, delightful red.
