This is some of the best white wine in the world. Silex almost needs no introduction because it has very quickly joined the pantheon of the world's great white wines. From its first vintage in 1985, Didier has done everything to carry it high. This is Sauvignon Blanc from Pouilly-Fumee, in the Loire Valley of France

This mythical cuvée comes from a plot of land very close to the winery, the terroir is composed of large flints and some vines are more than 80 years old. In short, the plant heritage is exceptional. The 2018 vintage offers a stunning nose with an almost inordinate diversity of floral, plant-based, citrus, and stone fruit elements, with a subtle bitterness. The palate is spicy, marked by smoky notes of white currant, oyster shell, crushed stone and iodine. The finish stretches long towards sweet and bitter flavors, in a vibrant and intensely mineral spirit.
