DOMAINE DIDIER DAGUENEAU 2022 'Pur Sang' (Loire, France)

A single vineyard, barrel fermented expression of Sauvignon Blanc from one of the most infamous cult figures in the world of wine. DAGEUNEAU was founded by the late Dider Dageuneau, a winemaker and French sidecar racer. His wines became famous for their focus: their ability to showcase the unique terroir of Pouilly-Fume and the crystal clear minerality that comes from Sauvignon Blanc grown here. 

This bottle comes from La Folie, which is one of the most revered parcels in the Pouilly-Fumé zone. Here, flint-laced soils and high-density plantings produce some of the most structured and age-worthy Sauvignon in the Loire. 

The 2022 is a classic example of the style: sleek and serious, with ripe citrus, white peach and smoky minerals pulsing through the wine’s spine. Fermented and matured in Dagueneau’s bespoke oak barrels, it carries both precision and gravitas, a Sauvignon of impeccable breeding and dramatic structure.
