DOMAINE DU PEGAU 2022 Cotes du Rhone 'Maclura' (Rhone, France)

Owned by the iconic winemaker, Laurence Féraud, Château Pegau is an exceptional terroir in Côtes du Rhône situated less than 4 miles southeast of the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape. PEGAU is absolutely one of the great wines of Chateauneuf du Pape.  This wine, the ‘Maclura’ is loaded with classic Côtes du Rhône fruit and spice that we expect from a classic Rhone Vally GSM.  The wine also retains the hallmark stamp and identity of Pegau. “Maclura” is a type of Osage Orange tree (also known by the name Hedge Apple). This red cuvée is named after the Osage Orange trees that grow within the vineyard.
