DOMAINE DU PEGAU 2021 Cotes du Rhone 'Maclura' (Rhone, France)

Owned by the iconic winemaker, Laurence Féraud, Château Pegau is an exceptional terroir in Côtes du Rhône situated less than 4 miles southeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. PEGAU is absolutely one of the great wines of Chateauneuf du Pape.  This wine, the ‘Maclura’ (brand) is loaded with classic Côtes du Rhône fruit and spice, the wines retain the hallmark stamp and identity of Pegau. “Maclura” is a type of Osage Orange tree (also known by the name Hedge Apple). This red cuvée is named after the Osage Orange trees that grow within the vineyard.
