Domaine Lingot Martin 'Gueule de Gamay' Pet Nat Rosé

This 'pet nat' or pétillant naturels (French for "naturally sparkling") is produced in Savoie, amid the foothills of the French Alps. During the winemaking process, Gamay grapes are exposed to a short maceration during the primary fermentation, then bottled while this fermentation is still underway. The bubbles result from this initial fermentation, as opposed to a secondary fermentation as is the case in Champagne.
