EL MONTANISTA 2024 Corte De Tintas (San Juan, Argentina)

From 80+ year old vines at high altitude, this wine is one of the coolest projects in the store. The grapes come from the remote vineyard Paraje Hilario vineyard in the Andes, north of Mendoza in Valle de Calingasta. 

This wine is a field blend of Criolla Chica (aka Listán Prieto or País), Criolla Grande, Cereza, Canela, and Moscatel Tinto. Savory, juicy, and rose-scented; walks the line between chilled red and dark rosé.
