This is Primitivo (red grape varietal, also known as Zinfandel here), from the region of Tatantino, within the Manduria region of Puglia, in Southern Italy. Primitivo here is full bodied, rich, dark - and yet still balanced. And as always, fantastic price / quality ratio in this region.
