ISENHOWER 2022 GSM 'i-Series' (Columbia Valley, WA)

Another GSM from Washington! We are loving these. And ISENHOWER is a favorite - husband and wife owned operation from Walla Walla, with tasting rooms in Woodinville as well. GSM refers to the classic acronym for the Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blends of Rhone Valley, France. This popular blend is doing very well here in WA, where all 3 varietals grow. This particular bottle is a blend of 54% Mourvèdre, 32% Syrah, 14% Grenache. Aged for 15 months in used French Oak. It’s got loads of dark fruit – dark cherry, pomegranate, cassis – and a mineral backbone. Expect fresh acidity and light tannin.
