Justin Neufeld's winemaking began during his academic years at the University of Washington, where he pursued a degree in Microbiology. During his junior year, he developed an interest in viticulture and enology, leading him to delve into independent research on the subjects. This newfound passion prompted Justin to return to his roots in the Yakima Valley after graduation, where he sought to immerse himself in the burgeoning wine industry.

In 2008, Justin and his wife, Brooke, founded JB Neufeld Winery.
