LABERINTO 2021 'Cenizas Mezcla Tinta' (Maule Valley, Chile)

Wow. This is wine from the volcanic soils of the Andean foothills. The blend is 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Full in body, with fine-yet-firm tannins, red fruit and mineral tones. This wine has a distinct sense of place, which is what drew us to it with the first sip. This is from winemaker Rafael Tirado, who has a passion for showing off Merlot of the Andean zone of Maule.
