LE CHAI DUCHET 2023 Macon Chardonnay 'Berry Story' (Burgundy, FR)

Seventh generation winemaker Alexis Duchet has farmed the family’s Macon vineyards organically for years, but "The Berry Story" wines tell the tale of more newly acquired land and their conversion to organic farming. The fruit for this wine is sourced from young vines at a lower elevation. 

Fermented in stainless steel, this Chardonnay has no oak influence, instead gleaning richness and a creamy texture from both malolactic fermentation and lees contact. Flavors of plum pear and dried honey with a dry, creamy palate.
