LUBERRI ZURI 2024 ‘Rioja Bianco’ (Rioja Alavesa, Spain)

Family Monje-Amestoy. 80% Viura. 20% Malvasia.  This is textbook white Rioja.  The Malvasia will add a ton of aromatics to the Viura that is not dull in any way either!  Fermented in stainless steel with frequent stirring ('batonnage') over a two month period.  

5% of the Rioja region is white wine.  Though not considered a rarity there is little white Rioja produced.  This is an excellent example of distinctive white wine.
