MAROTTI CAMPI NV Brut Sparkling Rose (Marche, Italy)

From the Marche region of Central Italy, this is a Brut (meaning, dry) sparkling wine. It is 100%  'Lacrima' (grape varietal) which is native to the Marche. Fun fact: it's name comes from the Latin term for 'tear' after its tear-drop like shape. 

This Brut Sparkling is made using the 'Charmat' method, which is widely known as the method for making the Italian Prosecco. The Charmat method allows the wine to preserve more fresh, fruity characteristics, and we see that in this glass. Lots of florals and red & black fruit here.
