MULLAN ROAD CELLARS 2023 Chardonnay (Royal Slope, WA)

The famous Cakebread's of Napa Valley in CA are making wine here in WA, so we are paying attention. This one has the quality of Napa Chard without the butter or the oak. Aged for 9 months in 17% new French oak, translating into aromas of citrus zest, crystallized melon, lime blossom, jasmine, and lemon curd. On the palate, an explosion of fruit flavors with a mouth-coating, voluptuous texture and a vibrant finish.
