OCCHIPINTI 2022 Nero d'Avola 'Siccagno' (Sicily, Italy)

 "Siccagno" is local dialect for "totally dry." This is ARIANNA OCCHIPINTI'S 'totally dry' take on the native Sicilian red grape, Nero d'Avola. She is leading in sustainable, low-intervention, terroir-driven winemaking in Sicily. The Siccagno is described as a pure expression of place. It is gritty, wild, fresh, mineral and elegant with inky dark fruit notes and earthy herbaceousness.
