POE 2022 Dolcetto (California, USA)

A Californian Dolcetto? You heard it right. Typically only found in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, this Dolcetto hails from The Split Rock Ranch in Mendocino, California.  They focus on cultivating Italian varietals with a focus on showcasing the unique climate and soils of the region.

The 2022 Dolcetto ‘Poe’ is expressive, with vibrant notes of black cherry, cranberry, and red plum. There’s a subtle hint of violet, complemented by earthy tones and a touch of cocoa.
