SANTA EMA 2024 Carmenere 'El Cruce' (Central Valley, Chile)

From the producer: “This Carmenere from the Central Valley is a tribute to 'El Cruce' that our founders made from Italy to South America through the Andes Mountain Range. A Carmenere with a dark red color, intense black fruit aromas, and hints of tobacco and black pepper. A great example of the driving spirit of 'El Cruce'.”

We recently brought this in as a great price / quality offering. Carmenere is a lost Bordeaux varietal (it’s homeland is Bordeaux, though it hardly grows there anymore). Carmenere’s new  home is now in Chile, where it thrives!
