SECKINGER 2020 Riesling 'R Riesling Pur' (Pfalz, Germany)

Wow. What an interesting one here. 

This is a bone-dry Riesling made to stand out. Winemaker Jonas Seckinger made his first wine at 17, and has always had laser-vision for what he wants his wine to be. This is whole cluster, free run juice fermentation in German Oak Barriques for 10 months with no temperature control. Some barrels are topped up, others are not to allow for some oxidation. Minimal sulphur is used - only when needed. Seckinger says that he "works by intuition... smelling and tasting the wine daily, like my grandfather did."
