Made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso gapes from Brunello di Montalcino DOCG vineyards. Farming for the SESTI “Monteleccio” is the same as for their Brunello's—they adhere strictly to lunar and planetary cycles to guide them.

The Monteleccio, which is made from s a selection of declassified Brunello fruit, spends just one year in large botti instead of three. That's the only difference between it and a Brunello. While they could classify as a Rosso di Montalcino, their Rosso ages 18 months. This fresh wine with one year of aging is thus, declassified, and a great way to start enjoying Sangiovese.
