Summer Wolff is a talented American-born winemaker.
Over the years she has worked in almost every sector of the wine industry, eventually starting two import companies in America. Since 2008 she has lived with her husband Fabrizio Iuli of Cascina Iuli in the small village of Montaldo di Cerrina in the Monferrato area in the province of Alessandria, where her family has been making wine for more than 100 years.
In 2021 she started her own production project with 2 hectares of vineyard.
An interesting husband/wife duo winery in the Monferrato, Piedmont - a capitol for some of the great wines from the Piedmont region. This is Freisa, a lesser-known red wine varietal to the tune of 70% with a balance of Nebbiolo (20%) & 10% Barbera. Both husband (also, Cascina Luli) & wife love light, fresh wine & this is a pleasure to approach! 'GioGio' is their baby's nickname. All cement fermentation & cement ageing. Try this for a fresh take on new wines & wine style. The cork is dipped in beeswax@!
