VASCO SASSETTI 2022 'Rosso di Montalcino' (Tuscany, Italy)

Rosso di Montalcino is Italian red wine made from the Sangiovese grape. It's lovingly referred to as 'baby Brunello' around the store, as it is made from the same Sangiovese clone as Brunello di Montalcino - and made in the same area (Montalcino). Rosso di Montalcino is aged less than its Brunello counterpart, creating a fresher, juicier red wine meant to be consumed young. Open this with charcuterie, pasta, steak... almost anything. It is excellent Italian table wine.
