VIGNERONS LES MATHENY 2020 Arbois Chardonnay (Jura, FR)

This unique Jura Chardonnay sources grapes from many different parcels, each of which is vinified separately in barrel (600L tonneaux) before blending for the final product. Vines are 45 years old, which translates into concentrated, expressive fruit.  This is an oxidized white meaning it has been purposely exposed to the air during its ageing in barrel.  Yet there is stone minerals and musky honey on the nose. Signature Jura salinity on the palate, alongside green fruit and candied lemon. Expect a touch of well-balance oxidation to boot. We love it.
