VIGNETI MASSA 2023 Timarasso 'Piccolo Derthuna' (Piedmont, Italy)

Almost extinct, it was Walter Massa who only a few years ago led the charge to revive this aromatic white varietal (Timarasso) and encourage a movement of resuscitation.  Its decline was due to phylloxera. When replanting, many growers chose to replant with the less finnicky Cortese grape.  Massa saw the importance of hanging onto this flavorful native wine, thought. Lean, but flavorful, this is divine in its crisp, pure white flower presentation.
